About the course
The AIC (Advanced Integration Course) is the Cambridge New Wave pathway to the prestigious
Level 4 BWY Yoga Teacher Diploma.
This blended programme combines in-person and online learning, bridging your 200-hour qualification into the BWY framework, and culminating in the full Diploma.

✔ Hold a valid EFAW First Aid certificate (or attend our BWY First Aid Day in Cambridge, November 2025)

Together with a deepening understanding of the body in āsana you will embody to understand the philosophy of Yoga for yourself, with study of the Sanskrit yoga texts guided by me, a scholar-practitioner with thirty years' Sanskrit scholarship in Cambridge.
I hold a Master of Philosophy in Sanskrit from Cambridge University from my twelve years of intensive language study there at both undergraduate and post graduate level. I also hold the BWY diploma in teaching yoga and have spent many years working as an independent scholar and a teacher of yoga inspired by Vanda Scaravelli‘s approach.
Specialist/Tutor: Charlotte Preston

"I help people learn about and connect with their bodies in different ways to help them feel better and give them tools for life"
Charlotte has 15 years' experience as bodyworker. She brings together practice of massage therapy, with being a teacher of Yoga, somatic movement and qigong. She is also a Somatic Experiencing practitioner in training.
She has special expertise in the nervous system and working with trauma.

Medically trained yoga anatomy teacher Andrew McGonigle, aka Dr Yogi, is BWY's training partner in anatomy and physiology.
This BWYQ certificate course integrates the well regarded Dr Yogi 30-hour online training in Anatomy and Physiology in the first part of the course. As you begin teaching yoga later on the Certificate course, you can use the in-depth resource of Dr Yogi materials to apply your online anatomy learning, as you begin to teach.

Refund/Cancellation Policy
The deposit will be non-refundable.
Should you leave the course before the end, all fees up until that point are non–refundable but you will be able to cancel any ongoing payments.

80% attendance is required.
